Step I. Revision

a. Spelling

content ① adj. 滿足的,滿意的;② vt. 使?jié)M足;

      ③ n.目錄;內(nèi)容;所容納的東西;含量; (U)滿足

①adj.     be /feel content /satisfied with … 對…感到滿意

          be content to do sth 滿足于做某事;愿意做某事

譯(1) I’m not content with my present life and I want tolead a more colorful life.

譯(2) She is quite content to stay at home looking afterher children.

② vt. content sb = satisfy sb

③ n.   withcontent   = with satisfaction滿足地,滿意地

badly off:in a poor position,esp. financially; 是worse off的原級,常用作表語,意為窮困拮據(jù)的,境況不好的。

其反義詞組:well off 富裕的

總結(jié):as if/ though 引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句或表語從句,

如果從句表示非真實的情況,則用虛擬語氣:

若表示與現(xiàn)在事實相反,【如(14)(15)】從句謂語用__________時態(tài),be動詞一律用_______;

若與過去事實相反,【如(16)】從句謂語則用_________.

如果從句表示可能發(fā)生的/真實情況,就用____________?!救纾?7)】

5.Instead he and another man are hiding in a small hut during a snowstorm withnothing to eat.

相反,他和另一個人被暴風雪困在一個小木屋中,沒有任何東西可吃。

句中with nothing to eat 為with的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)作狀語

仿寫句子:有很多工作要做,我今晚不能去看電影了。

b. Cloze:
